Diabetes Support Services reaches out to the community by speaking to groups and organizations, teaching classes at schools, facilitating lunch and learns, educating staff at day cares and fitness gyms, addressing church groups and nursing homes, sponsoring health fairs, and providing donated diabetes supplies to the uninsured or those who cannot afford a co-pay. We gladly furnish educational materials and loan DVDs of our twelve years of recorded meetings featuring medical professionals from our community and spotlights of diabetes products and services.
A 501(c)3 founded in 2007, our outreach has extended throughout Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, and even went global when we helped a little girl in South Africa. A conservative estimate of those who have come to us for education is nearly 20,000 people. We cannot count those who watch us weekly on CCTV.
